I am a Communications Adviser with experience in research communication. My skill set includes strategic communications planning, video production, photography, digital content creation, and copywriting. Master's degree in Culture, Environment and Sustainability from Universitetet i Oslo / University of Oslo (UiO).

Master of Philosophy in Culture, Environment and Sustainability.  Master thesis on energy use in Norwegian households, ethnographic study

Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Sociology. Graduated with Honours in Media Studies.  Bachelor thesis on New Zealand television news media.

Nordic Centre of Excellence QUINT – Quality in Nordic Teaching (Department of Teacher Education and School Research at UiO)

Main responsibility for all communication activities at the QUINT centre. Duties include planing and execution of research dissemination from QUINT's projects in collaboration with researchers. I also produce a variety of materials including news articles and press releases, videos, photos and brochures. I assist in event planning, and have responsibility for the centre's social media. Developed the centre's communication strategy.

May 2016 - December 2020

Communications Adviser, Nordic Energy Research

Sole full-time communications adviser in the organisation. Responsibility for all main communications activities including strategy, web content, social media, video production, press contact, design and layout, proofreading, event planning, and general outreach.  Led the implementation of a new visual profile for the organisation, the development of a new communications strategy, and the PR campaign “Carbon Neutral Nordics".

Communications Adviser (Project), Nordforsk

Assisted in NordForsk’s 15 year anniversary project, a mail-out campaign which included two brochures about NordForsk projects relating to the green transition and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. I helped coordinate the project, particularly the production of the brochures, and shot and edited two accompanying videos for the campaign. www.nordforsk.org/15years.

Responsibility for the daily operation of a cafe. Customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Research Assistant to Dr. Tanja Winther, UiO

Assisted in a research project on the effects of smart electricity meters on energy consumption.  Installed smart meters in the homes of participants and transcribed interviews.

Seminar leader, Victoria University of Wellington

Supplementary teaching role for a second-year university course (MDIA 201 – Visual Culture).  Ran weekly classroom-style seminars of around 20 students in which we reviewed key points from lectures and discussed course material. Graded student’s written assignments.

Group leader for peer assisted study support, Victoria University of Wellington

Facilitated a weekly guided study group for first year Media Studies students.  Reviewed essays with students and gave advice on academic writing technique.

Founding member of the board of editors at Tvergastein Journal of the Environment (issues 1-3), at the Centre for Development and Environment. Tasks included editing article submissions and making decisions on the design and layout of the journal. See tvergastein.com.
